May 2020 Theme

Hello, and welcome to the month of May! Last month was about acceptance, this month on the blog is going to be ‘engage in what truly matters.’ Before I left school, I was given an assignment that is very important and I haven’t gotten around to doing it. It’s always at the back of my mind, but I haven’t done it. I can say the reason is due to distractions and the thought that schoolwork belongs to the school, but I know I should do the assignment because it’s very important to me. The decision to do what truly matters brings introspection.

You get to sit and think, ‘what have I been doing in my life so far that isn’t bringing change to anything’, and then you find out what you can be fully engaged in that matters. Is it yourself? Your relationship? Is it your job? Your activism?

Engage In What Truly Matters

The world is going through a hard time now and the result has been reflective thinking, at least to me. What have you been doing during this time? Are you growing more? Are you finally taking the step you have always wanted to take? Distractions will always be there but the question to ask is, are you doing what truly matters to you and others? An example of doing what truly matters right now is staying at home and staying safe, that way, you are helping yourself and others.

“What have you been doing during this time? Are you growing more? Are you finally taking the step you have always wanted to take? Distractions will always be there but the question to ask is, are you doing what truly matters to you and others”

This month on the blog is going to be about doing what truly matters. I am going to be publishing stories that resonate with this. And I hope by the end of the month, we will leave with a lesson or two.

Thank you for reading, and happy new month once again. Always remember you matter. Stay safe and don’t forget to wash your hands.
